Two stage unit commitment considering multiple correlations of wind power forecast errors

When the correlation of wind power output among farms is not considered, integrated stochastic characteristics will be captured accurately. Using this inaccurate feature may lead to an impractical even a failing result unit commitment (UC). Therefore, paper proposes multiple correlations model for forecast errors (WPFEs), and capture in UC problem, two-stage chance-constrained interval (CIUC) proposed. First, analytical expression correlations, including spatial, temporal conditional presented improve description accuracy WPFEs. To strike balance between risk operational cost, decision method developed optimize time-varying first stage. Subsequently, established determine optimal schedule second Finally, proposed CIUC solved using solution strategy that combines column-and-constraint generation sample average approximation. The effectiveness practicality are verified via numerical results IEEE 39-bus 118-bus systems.
